Salah Issues Regret to Squad, Says Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has shared that the Egyptian forward expressed regret to the group of players in the wake of the controversy from his televised remarks.

The striker was dropped from a key Champions League match subsequent to making accusations and suggesting his relationship with manager had soured.
“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, please accept my apology.’”
Arne Slot has previously declined to comment publicly on whether he got an explanation from the 33-year-old forward.
Looking Ahead
He emphasized that the dressing room atmosphere was unchanged. “He was his usual self, he had a big smile on his face and we all treated him normally,” Jones added.
Jones also noted that a player's desire to start is preferable. “I get that there are different methods you can handle situations,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just be on the bench, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”
Team Form
Their results have been impressive in the games following the situation. Jones believes the Salah's words were not intended to harm the team.
“In moments of frustration, it has consistently come from a good place,” the midfielder stated. “We’re past that now and we’re uniting strongly, performing and on a positive run.”
