History of Assaults

Since the start of the extensive conflict in Ukraine, a series of Russian military personnel have been attacked within Moscow.

This latest event echoes other notable incidents, such as:

  • General Yaroslav Moskalik was killed in a car bomb attack in Moscow earlier this year.
  • General Igor Kirillov was killed in late 2024 when a device hidden on a scooter was detonated remotely.

While a informant previously connected Kirillov's death to Ukraine's security service, such assertions are not publicly admitted as a matter of official stance.

Hostilities has been marked by clandestine operations moving into the heart of the Russian capital.

The investigation into General Sarvarov's death continues to be ongoing.
