A high-ranking Russian army officer has been declared dead following an blast in Moscow, according to an investigative body.
The incident took place on Monday morning when an explosive device concealed beneath a vehicle was set off, resulting in the death of Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov.
Sarvarov held the position of the head of the armed forces' unit responsible for operational readiness.
